Advertising and consent

Eligible public tool pages may show manually placed ads beside or below the tool, and guide articles may also contain placements. The kids’ practice page, support pages, directories, /owner/, previews, and the embed endpoint are not eligible for ads.

Before an ad request is made, the site must provide the required consent choices, identify the publisher clearly, and follow the applicable advertising policies.

An advertising request is blocked when consent is unknown, denied, withdrawn, or cannot be confirmed because of an error.

If you withdraw consent, the site must explain that reloading clears the current tool session. Withdrawal cannot recall data already sent. Tool features never depend on an ad click, an impression, or consent to advertising.
