Decode without silent corruption
The decoder ignores ASCII spaces, tabs and line breaks in the encoded form. It validates the alphabet, required padding and pad bits before decoding. The recovered bytes must be valid UTF-8 text.
If the input encodes binary data, an error is more useful than replacement characters that hide corruption. Nothing is executed, fetched or navigated to when a result resembles code or a URL.
What happens to your input?
This tool does its work on this page. The site does not submit your entries or results or keep a history. However, any script allowed to run on the page could read its fields. Clearing the tool or leaving the page cannot erase clipboard entries, downloads, printouts, or screenshots. It also cannot protect you if your browser or device is compromised. Read the privacy limits.
