How it works
Apache APR1 compatibility
Enter an ASCII username without whitespace or colons and a password. Each explicit conversion creates a fresh eight-character random salt and outputs an Apache APR1 salted MD5 entry. The password begins masked.
APR1 is a legacy compatibility format. For a new Apache setup, prefer server-side htpasswd -B and current server guidance. This site cannot modify your server or confirm that your host accepts the generated line.
