QUICK START

Adults can use this with a child to compare a short practice example with a longer account password. Leave out personal details.

  1. Choose three words for practice or seven for a longer password.
  2. Generate a word combination together.
  3. Explain how to store it safely and keep it private.

Short practice examples are not for important accounts. Never use a child’s birthday or full name as a password.

How it works

Practice with an adult

The short practice preset uses three words from EFF’s short list, separated by hyphens. The longer account preset uses seven. Both use random word selection and never ask for a child’s name, birthday or other personal details.

Short examples are for practice, not important accounts. Help the child store and recover an account safely and follow the service’s requirements. This page does not contain advertising placements.
