How it works

A passphrase for a personal network

The default is 20 characters, with similar and ambiguous characters excluded for easier entry. The permitted range is 8–63 printable ASCII characters for the intended WPA/WPA2 Personal use.

Generating a value here does not update the router. Enter it through your router’s trusted settings page. To make a QR code, copy the password into that tool yourself; the link never carries credentials.

What happens to your input?
